ROAMpay Review

The ROAMpay app allows you to easily enter card information or track cash payments to process sales almost anywhere. A card swiper is also available for those who prefer the convenience and lower processing rates of swiping cards. Lightweight and durable, the Ingenico ROAMpay swiper plugs into any standard headphone jack on a variety of mobile devices. The ROAMpay swiper used with the ROAMpay app turns mobile devices into an easy way to accept payments on the go. Some devices such as iPads allow customers to sign for purchases right on the mobile device.

ROAMpay works with most major payment processors and can accept almost all cards, including MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, debit cards, and newer technologies such as EMV and NFC. You can set up tax rates and discounts, accept tips, and more. ROAMpay offers an offline mode for accepting payments when a connection for online payments isn’t available. In addition to accepting payments, you can choose to email receipts to customers who want a record of their purchase. Receipts are customizable with your business logo, slogan or message, and contact information.

ROAMpay also offers myROAM Merchant Portal for creating and viewing reports, managing inventory, viewing transaction history, issuing refunds, and more.

ROAMpay is available in the US and Canada.

Security

To protect businesses and customers, ROAMpay is PCI-DSS and PA-DSS compliant. Transactions are processed with end-to-end encryption for added security. The ROAMpay app also requires a PIN login to authenticate users, preventing access by unauthorized parties.

Store and Forward

ROAMpay offers an offline or "store and forward" mode for you to accept payments when an online connection isn’t available. The offline mode stores the transaction information and forwards it for approval when a connection is available.

Accessories

ROAMpay supports an optional Ingenico ROAMpay card swiper for accepting cards at lower swiped rates and reducing the need for manual entry. The card swiper attaches via standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
