The app is free to download in either the Android or Apple app store. Mobile processing is an increasingly popular option for contractors, delivery services, tradeshow vendors, artists, and more. If you’re considering PayWithIt as your mobile solution, here’s what you’ll need to know.
PayWithIt is offered by TrustCommerce, so if you’re already a TrustCommerce customer, it’s included in your service package. You’ll need a merchant account in order to use PayWithIt, but TrustCommerce doesn’t limit you to any particular processing company. That means you can choose the company with the pricing and services that are right for your business.
Costs for accepting credit cards will be determined by your credit card processor. If you want to know exactly what you’d pay, you can get a no-obligation quote using this free quote request tool.
While mobile processing isn’t quite as robust as some other payment options, it still has features that make payment acceptance and business management easy when you’re on the go. PayWithIt’s features include pre-authorization and post-authorization of transactions, signature capture, the ability to void transactions, and an email receipt function.
Additionally, PayWithIt offers two reporting options. Basic reporting is available directly from the mobile device, while more robust, comprehensive reports are available with the online administrator page. PayWithIt can support multiple users, allowing administrators to set the permissions for each user account.
PayWithIt exceeds PCI-DSS and PA-DSS standards, and uses industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption and point-of-interaction (POI) encryption with anti-skimming for security for cardholders and businesses. Optional mobile card readers are also encrypted, reducing the risk of fraud or stolen card information. Additionally, PayWithIt supports Address Verification Services and CVV. With Address Verification, merchants verify the cardholder’s address with the billing address on file with the credit card company. CVV uses the 3 digit code found on credit cards to verify the card is present at the time of sale.
There are two types of reports you can generate with PayWithIt: simple reports available through the mobile app, and more comprehensive reports through TrustCommerce’s web interface, known as TC Vault. With TC Vault, you can create customized reports, generate daily activity files to see trends, view card decline statistics, and consolidate all of your channels (online, mobile, retail) into one view.
PayWithIt supports encrypted card readers purchased through TrustCommerce, but specific costs for readers aren’t published. Readers boast anti-skimming technology and come with a 1-year limited warranty.
The costs of accepting cards will be set by the credit card processor that you work with. If you choose to use an encrypted card swiper, you may qualify for lower rates than if you manually enter cards. You can choose to disable manual entry if desired, ensuring that only swiped transactions are accepted.
Another reader that can't support chip cards yet. But it does work with both Android and Apple devices.
