Verifone VX 805 Q&A

Heartland Payment Systems answer:

You need to force a new transaction through the Pin Pad using the swipe option.?

Thanks
Team TSYS

Dharma Merchant Services answer:

Certain credit/debit cards will not allow this, and based on the card-issuing bank, you may be forced to use a PIN number. The only way around this is to "trick" the system by keying the sale in. Ultimately, your customer's bank has chosen to require a PIN for card-present sales, and as such, you can only take the card without a PIN by classifying the sale as "card not present" which results in a higher interchange rate structure.

If you want to take contactless payments, there's an NFC-capable version of the 805. Otherwise, you can take traditional credit cards and the newer EMV chip cards.
