All the usual processing methods: in-person, mobile, e-commerce, and virtual terminal card acceptance. You’ll be able to get set up for any combination of methods.
For taking all the major credit and debit cards using traditional credit card terminals or point-of-sale equipment, Payfirma can get you up in running quickly and easily. In addition to traditional magnetic stripe card acceptance, you’ll be able to choose equipment that can accept chip credit cards and contactless (NFC) payment technologies.
Does taking credit cards using your smartphone sound like a dream come true for your business? If you’re on the road a lot, Payfirma can help with mobile card acceptance. A Payfirma card swiper connects to your phone via headphone jack, and reporting options makes reconciling payments simple.
Sell online as easily as offline with Payfirma’s API. You can take one time payments for goods or services you sell through your website, or you’re able to set up recurring billing, perfect for charging your customers for subscriptions and memberships.
If you’re a business that takes credit card information by phone, fax, or mail, you may benefit from using a virtual terminal. Payfirma can get you set up with a secure form on your internet-connected computer so you can enter payment information directly. An optional card reader can be connected so that you can swipe cards for situations that your customer is present at your location.
Yup. Payfirma can get you set up with traditional point-of-sale terminals in both wired or wireless versions, NFC (contactless) solutions, mobile card readers, and iPad terminals. However, it’s worth noting that one of the complaints against Payfirma that was lodged with the Better Business Bureau mentions an un-cancellable lease, which Payfirma doesn’t deny in their response. CardFellow strongly urges that you do not lease a credit card machine.
Payfirma offers PCI compliant solutions to help keep you safe. Additionally, some terminals are EMV Level 1 and Level 2 approved. Online solutions use secure socket layer (SSL) technology, and offer the ability to use Visa’s and MasterCard’s additional security tools Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode.
Payfirma uses a flat rate pricing model, charging a monthly fee, flat percentage, and per transaction fee. The current pricing is 1.99% + $0.25 per transaction, and then the monthly fee depending on the specific services you need. However, there may be additional fees, including setup fees, statement fees, and more.
To get a fully disclosed quote that includes all of the rates and fees you can expect to pay, request a quote from Payfirma through your CardFellow account. If you don’t have a CardFellow account yet, sign up for free to get your quote.
It’s a long one, and yes there are termination fees for all of the monthly plans except the “essentials” plan. Payfirma’s standard contract is for 4 years.
Payfirma has been in the processing business since 2011, so its still quite young. In that time, it has started to gain some positive notice, including an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and positive reviews through Google’s review system. There are no negative complaints in the Ripoff Report directory as of December 2015, and no reviews (positive or negative) on Yelp.
Payfirma has an accredited profile with the Better Business Bureau, with an A+ rating. The company has had 3 complaints in the past 3 years, but details are only available for one complaint. In that instance, the complainant alleges that they tried to cancel an account and an equipment lease with Payfirma, but the lease continued to be charged. In a reply on the BBB website, Payfirma acknowledges that the equipment lease can’t be cancelled. All 3 complaints are listed as “answered” meaning that Payfirma replied to the complaint, but the original complainant was either not happy with the response, or didn’t reply after Payfirma replied. The Better Business Bureau emphasizes business response, so Payfirma’s active presence answering the complaints likely contributes to Payfirma’s A+ rating.
In Google reviews, Payfirma has a 4.3 star rating from 7 total reviews. 6 reviews are 5-star, and the remaining review is 1-star. The positive reviews praise excellent customer service, easy to use mobile app, and fast payment. The negative review complains that transaction reporting is difficult to understand, recurring billing doesn’t always work correctly, and customers can’t be deleted from the system.

Unlike general web reviews, verified reviews are posted by businesses that have chosen the processor's quote through CardFellow's marketplace, and CardFellow has confirmed with the processor that the business is using its service. Businesses can update verified reviews at any time to ensure the review accurately reflects the processor's performance over time.
Unlike verified reviews which are validated by CardFellow, web reviews can be submitted by anyone viewing this profile. While we validate these reviews as best we can, CardFellow does not verify that a reviewer is using or has used a processor's service.

WATCH OUT! Payfirma is not trustworthy. I was in a 2.75% fixed flat rate contract, but they increased my rate up to 3.25%. They also charged a long list of other fees that were NOT included in our contract. Instead of refunding us, they recommended signing a new "rate reduction" contract to save money. But, once we began our new contract, they only charged us MORE! According to our calculations, they have overcharged us over $5800.00, which is a lot for a small business like mine!

Jerry Graham was our Sales Rep and was very prompt and informative with his responses. This helped us reach an informed decision more quickly to switch over the Payfirma. Rates are great! Fantastic customer service!

This company should have its business practices looked at by the RCMP. It’s a wonder how they have stayed afloat.

Payfirma offers plenty of services, but we're not a big fan of the 4 year standard contract.
