Omega Transactions offers a variety of services and equipment to help you take payments whether in store, on-the-go, or online. Service options include credit and debit card processing, check processing, mobile processing, internet payment acceptance, gift cards, and cash advances.
Omega Transactions provides credit and debit card processing for all major cards. Omega offers a wide range of PCI compliant credit card machines, including mobile options, to process transactions at point of sale or on the road.
With Omega there is also a service to get your funds from American Express sales faster and have the fees for American Express on your standard monthly statement instead of a separate one.
As technology advances ink and paper seem to be becoming obsolete, but accepting checks is still imperative for many businesses. Omega Transactions has several options for accepting checks, as follows:
Point of sale check guarantee
No more excessive trips to the bank! Omega offers check readers that can be used at your point of sale. This option electronically deposits the check directly into your account and guarantees the check even if it bounces.
Remote deposit capture
Much like the check reader to a point of sale, this option also allows you to accept checks without need of going to the bank. With remote deposit capture, a check imager connects to your computer by using a USB port. Scan checks with the imager to submit directly to your bank account.
Checks by web
If you sell goods or services through a website, you can give your customers the choice to pay with checks using Omega’s payment gateway options. Customers simply choose to pay by check from the payment options available in the checkout process on your website.
Check collections
Worried about the hassle of collecting funds on bad checks? Check collections is a free solution designed to help. All you need to do is take the paper checks to the bank, and if the check is returned, the check company does the work of collecting the funds for you.
If you are unsure of which option is best for you, Omega Transaction’s customer service can help you determine the right way to accept checks for your business’ needs.
Being able to accept payments on your smartphone or mobile device can be convenient and conducive to businesses that are on-the-go. For accepting mobile payments, Omega Transactions offers PAYware Mobile from Verifone. The PAYware Mobile app is free to download. Customers who process cards with Omega also receive a free card reader that would normally cost $149.
If your storefront exists in cyberspace, Omega Transactions has two gateway options for accepting internet payments: eProcessing Network Payment Gateway and Authorize.Net Payment Gateway. Both gateways allow you to accept major credit and debit cards online with secure transactions and real time processing.
Omega suggests Authorize.Net if you’re looking for a popular gateway that can integrate easily with many common online shopping carts.
Authorize.Net fees are as follows:

With Omega Transactions your business can offer custom designed or standard gift cards. Custom gift cards have your logo and design on the card, allowing you to match the card to your current branding style. Standard cards are available pre-designed and allow you to add your business name. Omega suggests standard cards if you want to try out gift cards to see the response for your business.
For businesses needing working capital, Omega Transactions can offer cash advances based on your expected credit card sales. You can use the money for any business expense, such as advertising, purchasing inventory or equipment, or renovating your space. While this might sound tempting, be aware that cash advances can ultimately be very expensive and there may be better options for your business.
If you are looking for equipment, Omega offers credit card terminals at wholesale cost. Additionally, the company offers free replacements on wired countertop credit card machines if something breaks.
Terminals are PCI compliant, and you do not need to be a client in order to purchase them. Even if you choose another processor but prefer the prices of Omega’s equipment, you can still purchase through Omega. However, make sure that the equipment you want can be supported by your processor so you don’t end up with a machine you can’t use.
Omega currently offers EMV smart card and contactless credit card terminals, mobile credit card machines, dial-up credit card machines, high speed internet credit card machines, check readers, and PIN pads. The models are from popular brands like VeriFone, Hypercom, Nurit, and First Data. Features will vary depending on what you choose, but Omega’s website provides up-to-date information on each model.
Omega also offers equipment supplies and peripherals, such as batteries, power cables, paper rolls, ink, and more.
Omega boasts technical support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However it is not solely from Omega. The company’s website states that in addition to personal support from Omega, they are backed by 24/7 support from First Data, one of the largest processors in the United States.
Omega doesn’t publish its pricing information on its website, except for internet processing as noted above. (Note that there may be additional fees beyond the published pricing.)
The company’s website boasts very low fees and rates for the industry, but does not specify what the rates are. If you want to know how much your company will be paying for Omega’s services, you can request a fully disclosed quote through CardFellow. Our free service allows you to compare processor’s pricing without the hassle of sales people, sign up here and get started!
Omega’s website also promises no long-term contracts, instead offering month-to-month agreements.
Omega Transactions has been accredited with the Better Business Bureau since 2007 and currently has an A+ rating, the highest available. The company has had no complaints with the BBB in the past 3 years. This is rather unusual for a processing company and may suggest the claim of great customer service is true.
There are no reviews on Ripoff Report or Google Reviews, but buried on Yelp is a review that is not recommended. The individual claims to have saved a lot of money switching to Omega and gives the company 5 stars.
There is a section for testimonials on Omega’s website. It features a long list of text quotes from customers praising the company’s honesty, helpful customer service, great rates, professionalism, and helpfulness with setup of machines in addition to accounts. Testimonials include the reviewer’s first name and last initial, as well as the full business name.
Unlike general web reviews, verified reviews are posted by businesses that have chosen the processor's quote through CardFellow's marketplace, and CardFellow has confirmed with the processor that the business is using its service. Businesses can update verified reviews at any time to ensure the review accurately reflects the processor's performance over time.
Unlike verified reviews which are validated by CardFellow, web reviews can be submitted by anyone viewing this profile. While we validate these reviews as best we can, CardFellow does not verify that a reviewer is using or has used a processor's service.
