MPI has a variety of processing options to fit the needs of both card-present and card-not-present situations. Other features include things like gift and loyalty cards, payroll solutions, and ATMs. The company also has an online store for purchasing credit card processing equipment.

Card Processing

MPI offers credit and debit card processing in-store, online, and with a mobile device. Cards can be accepted in-store using traditional countertop credit card terminals, wireless terminals, or full-featured point of sale systems. You can also set up recurring billing and process card-not-present transactions using a secure virtual terminal. Payroll

Similar to Lavu but designed for retailers, Vend is a POS system that integrates POS payments, eCommerce, and sales operations. It can also work offline, so you don’t have to worry about missing a sale if you are suddenly without internet. It works with iPads, Mac, and PC and you can obtain hardware for your specific needs.

Equipment options through MPI

MPI maintains an equipment store online for purchasing processing equipment, with new and refurbished options. The MPI equipment store offers products in a number of categories, including terminals, swipers, printers, stands, accessories, and other options. MPI partners with Lavu for point of sale systems and offers financing for Lavu equipment.

The company also offers bundled equipment packages. Available bundles include retail POS systems, food service POS system, food truck systems, and more. Equipment included in each bundle varies, but may have items such as lockable cash drawers, receipt printers, routers, and kitchen printers.

Mercantile Processing Inc. has been accredited with the Better Business Bureau since 2008, and boasts an A+ rating with the BBB. MPI’s high score is partly attributable to the fact that they have had no complaints lodged with the BBB in the last 3 years.

While there are reviews in the Ripoff Report directory for MPI, the complaints include multiple names for the processor, some of which are not Mercantile Processing Inc. In instances where only “MPI” is referenced, addresses don’t match Mercantile Processing Inc’s company address. As CardFellow cannot be certain that consumers leaving the reports are referring to Mercantile Processing Inc. given the conflicting name and address information, we are not including those complaints in this profile.

Mercantile Processing Inc. has an unclaimed page on Yelp, and currently no reviews there. There are two 5 star reviews on Google, one of which is internal and simply states that the company has moved.
