In the mission statement, the company claims not to have lost sight of the importance of helping build its clients, educating them, and seeing each company as a unique opportunity with individual needs. In this Fidelity Payment Services review and profile we will provide information about the range of services offered and discuss whether that mission statement is supported by reputation or just lip service.
Fidelity Payment Services has a variety of payment options that include credit and debit card processing, check services and ACH processing, e-commerce and internet processing, IVR phone processing, mobile processing, gift and loyalty cards, cash advances, and ATMs. Fidelity Payments also boasts same-day and next-day funding.
Fidelity Payment Services provides processing for major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and more. They have a large spectrum of equipment and software for how these payments are processed which will be discussed below.
Standard Terminals, Wireless Terminals, PIN Pads, and Signature Pads are all offered through Fidelity Payment and will be discussed further in the section about equipment.
For clients who need to accept payments online, Fidelity Payment Services has a range of options. The company offers its own gateway, Cardknox.
Cardknox has plugins for leading online shopping carts like WooCommerce and Magento, as well as its own virtual terminal, called the Cardknox Merchant Portal. With the help of the Cardknox Merchant Portal, merchants can process one-time or recurring payments, store customer payment information, set up automated recurring schedules, and more.
Cardknox PaymentSITE is a hosted online form that can be embedded into a website or shared via its unique URL to accept payments. Fidelity's PhonePay solution is an automated interactive voice response (IVR) solution consisting of a phone line that prompts customers to key-in their payment information.
In addition to Cardknox, the company can set you up with gateways or virtual terminals through Authorize.Net, Charge Anywhere, eProcessing Network, First Data Global, Elavon Internet Secure or Elavon Virtual Merchant, Skipjack, and more. Fidelity also claims to be compatible with almost all shopping carts.
You also have the option of transforming your PC into a terminal, eliminating the need for a standard POS system. Fidelity Payment Services claims it is an authorized reseller of most software with this capability.
If you need to accept payments on the go, Fidelity Payment Services offers custom mobile services depending on your needs and devices. Solutions are available for iPhone and Android smartphones and tablets.
Fidelity Payment Services also offers businesses the ability to provide an ATM in store, increasing convenience for customers and minimizing the need to leave to get cash. You will have the option to set the surcharge amount.
For clients who want to accept checks, Fidelity Payment Services has several options, including ACH, Check 21, and check guarantee.
ACH
Fidelity Payment Services offers ACH check processing either directly debited by the client with customer authorization, or using a check scanner to convert a paper check into an electronic transaction.
Check21
The Check21 service eliminates the need for trips to the bank to deposit checks. You can scan paper checks with a check scanner and Fidelity Payment Services’ processing gateway will process the information and deposit funds directly to your bank account.
Check Guarantee
Fidelity Payment Services also offers a check guarantee designed to provide you with security. Fidelity Payments guarantees the full amount of approved checks if you follow the requirements for acceptance of checks. Checks can be accepted by scanning the check to convert it to an electronic transaction, or by accepting the paper check and calling an authorization number prior to accepting the check.
If you want to offer gift or loyalty cards, Fidelity Payment Services offers electronic cards to encourage reloading and repeat business. Programs are completely customizable, allowing you to choose the features of a loyalty program and the branding of your cards. You can also include customized receipts, and reporting options to track and manage card information is included.
Fidelity Payment Services offers cash advances if you need working capital. Funds are offered against future credit card sales in exchange for a lump sum. There is no fixed payment schedule and funds can be used for almost any business expense, including expanding, purchasing inventory or equipment, advertising, and more. If you have been in business for at least 1 year and have a monthly credit card processing volume of at least $2,500 are eligible. Before taking this option, be sure to read our article “Should You Get a Merchant Cash Advance?” for information about possible pitfalls, such as high costs.
DCC is a method of offering your consumers the option of paying in their local currency. The exchange rate has a 3% margin, included on the receipt. There is also an “opt out” option if the customer does not want to be charged the international fees.
MCC allows your customer to have an “in country” shopping experience by converting your base currency into theirs.
Fidelity Payment Services offers point-of-sale solutions customized to fit your business needs, including hardware, software, and a cash drawer. Systems are PCI compliant, and Fidelity Payment Services offers live training and onsite installation. Systems are available for sale or lease, but it’s generally not a good idea to lease credit card machines.
Fidelity Payment Services also offers a range of processing equipment without a full POS solution. The company offers models from popular brands like First Data, Hypercom, Pax, Verifone, and Nurit.
As for software, Fidelity claims to be a reseller of almost everything that is available and to be compatible with programs like QuickBooks, Sage, and Peachtree.
Fidelity Payment Services offers assistance for clients to become PCI compliant. Additionally, its Cardknox gateway supports EMV processing integrations, 3D Secure 2.0, online fraud screening, data tokenization, and more.

Businesses can update verified reviews at any time to ensure the review accurately reflects the processor's performance over time.
Unlike verified reviews which are validated by CardFellow, web reviews can be submitted by anyone viewing this profile. While we validate these reviews as best we can, CardFellow does not verify that a reviewer is using or has used a processor's service.

It’s always a pleasure contacting Fidelity and the main reason is my agent - Sara Feder. One of the best customer service professionals I’ve ever worked with. Knowledgeable, eager to help, super fast responder, always follows up to verify our satisfaction and completion of issues. Sara is an asset to Fidelity and one of the main reason we stick with them and don’t even consider the competition. Keep up the great work!

Fidelity Payment Services puts a lot of emphasis on its service and expertise in addition to transparent pricing. We haven't had the chance to review many statements from Fidelity Payment Services, which is often a good indicator that its client base is generally satisfied and not shopping for another processor.
